In this report, we argue that Canada’s farmland market offers a compelling value proposition relative to developed market peers. We believe that productivity-adjusted pricing discounts are a key driver behind the Canadian market’s superior performance. Our analysis shows that median Canadian farmland returns are materially higher than those in Europe and the United States, both in terms of lower volatility and stronger upside.
