“The Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec are particularly susceptible to U.S. ambitions to reindustrialize,” says Omnigence Asset Management’s director Stephen Johnston. He told the WSJ that particularly aerospace, automotive and heavy machinery fit the finished goods market where much is ultimately destined to the U.S. This makes the two provinces more exposed to Trump’s tariffs due to their developed and advanced finished goods sector. “Those are the things the U.S. wants brought back, and that’s Quebec and Ontario,” Johnston said. Full article.
